An aptly named diving duck, the Red Head can be easily identified by its
bright red head and gray back. Many female Redheads make no nests of their
own, but instead lay their eggs in the nests of other ducks. Though slow moving on
land, Red Head Ducks are known to reach and incredible 80 miles per
hour when flying. They are known by their puffy red head and stunning
yellow iris. This more colourful example is the male Red Head.
