An awesome bird of prey, many incorrectly think of this bird as an eagle. The Osprey catches
fish by diving with its wings half
closed and their massive claws stretched forward. They usually hold their
fish with both feet. Many times I
watched them tear off the fish head to stop it wiggling in mid flight. They
have been known to live for over 20
years. The Osprey was featured on the Canadian $10 bill for many years.
